Hi, if you like this check out my other creations and support me here.
This is the sixth in the series of T Light Chandeliers. This is the Dodeca - Twelve candle version, aranged in two layers suported on helical risers traveling in oposite directions creating an ordered forrest of tubes.
Inspired by the tube worms that live around Hydrothermal vents at depths of around 2.5 km this series of Chandeliers uses T Lights to their best advantage by grouping them together increasing their light out-put.
You can use LED Tealights instead of burning ones for peace of mind - they will fit too.
They lend an elegant functionality to any dining table or home, while mimmicking the gentle sway of marine environs.
Print time will be a tad over two and a half days on my settings.
This is the second version as I originaly made it too compact and it melted when lit, this one does not.
I used a raft for adhesion and ease of removal.
Speed and layer height are very important with this design as the overhang is very shallow, getting close to what is achievable with FDM machines
I also kept all speeds Print, walls, travel etc. the same to minimise shake from acceleration
Print time 2 days 16 hours odd
- Layer height 0.1mm
- Walls 0.8
- Infill 15% - Cubic... very important as it supports the candles
- Print speed 48mm/s
- Adhesion- Raft
- No support
