Wintery scene on a mountain with a train, buildings and trees plus lots of other stuff. Idea for this started from my friend Stuwaha, she provided me with a sketch (plus a lot of invaluable feedback during the creation process) and I build from that. It has lots of traditional elements for such scenes but I also wanted to steer a bit away from most Christmas themes (the star is a compromise) making this more just a winter scene than a Christmas town, fitting for everyone!
I printed mine from Taulman T-Glase that had a nice transparent effect, and finished by simply spraying very little matte white paint for a slight snow effect. Inside I simply fitted some "fairy lights" that are sold just about everywhere cheaply, there's one building that requires some trickery to wire, but all buildings have a channel for wires underneath.
No supports!
There are lots of smaller detail so this model can't be scaled down much, depending on your printer of course. I printed mine scaled down slightly to finish in 15 hours, 0.2mm layer height, 10% infill at 50mm/s on my Flashforge Creator Pro.
Thing to note though like always with steps is to use enough top layers or higher infill, I used 5 top layers as I didn't want to up the infill. Also the lamp posts might be challenging to print, in my experience they usually print fine on better calibrated printers but it's very possible they will not. This has never ruined rest of the print thoug.
Optionally you could also slice the model from the multimaterial parts and just not print the lamps at all.
